Trolling
Valve Interlock System
The
8138 Trolling Valve Interlock is an all mechanical, very simple and inexpensive
way to protect your expensive transmissions against damage from throttling up
while the transmission is in "troll" mode. Most marine
transmission manufacturers require that the transmission NOT be slipped
(trolling mode) with anything but idle (or slightly above idle) throttle
settings. Our Trolling Valve Interlock accomplishes this using a proven
technique. The
interlock system is compatible with most Panish Controls systems, including our
famous Series 5000, as well as most types of mechanical systems utilizing
standard "33" series push-pull cables. Please note: it is not
recommended for use with electronic or hydraulic systems. This
quality unit is CNC machined from marine grade aluminum alloys, and is finished
in our white textured powder coating. The moving parts are stainless steel
and they ride in oil impregnated bronze bushings for long, maintenance free
life. We
offer a variety of methods of controlling the trolling valve, but by far, the
most common is with our bulkhead mounted Vernier Control Head. This is a
very accurate way to adjust shaft rpm, given the overly sensitive valves
typically encountered. Please
